The Role

You are:

A motivated Back-end Developer with experience in Ruby on Rails who?s eager to be part of a young team and exciting ideas. You will be our first full-time Ruby Developer with your key responsibility being to own anything back-end related. You will be part of the new product team and work closely with our Front-End & UX/UI team.?

What we?re looking for:

Our most immediate need is someone who can jump right in and play a lead role in application performance, scaling and operational support. We want a developer focused on keeping our platform stable and performant as we grow our traffic, feature set, community and business. We also have a near-endless stream of features, fixes, enhancements, optimizations and product ideas on which to work, so there's plenty of opportunity to build and own product and infrastructure.

We value software engineering highly, but we're not an engineering company; IE. is a product company. We're 50 people and tight-knit, looking for a core contributor who can work independently - you should not only thrive at solving problems, but identifying and prioritizing them. But we also want someone who loves being part of a team and understands that tasks like responding to user feedback, participating in design sessions and discussing business directions? is part of any role in growing a start-up organization.

You?ll gain experience in everything from marketing, UX / UI, design, event production, and sales.
